Looking at buying a S/H 2000 model Millard Challenger 16ft. The dealer quotes a tare weight of 1100 kg but the rego states 1200kg which I feel is more the mark .
Owning to the forward kitchen the ball weight gets up to around 125 kg . Looks great but weight may kill my 2.5 lt Subura Outback so still in the consideration stage .
Anyone got one and knows the weight for sure, or maybe is towing something similar with an Outback . Any advice on known problems I should note before signing would be greatly apprecitate up

I suggest that you get it weighed before you hand over any money.

Thanks for the reply. Now have the W/B certificate and it comes in at 1150 kg just need to update the tow hitch to the next size up as Subura only ever put the standard 90 kg hitch on unless you ask for the 140 and 50 mm Hayman Recee. To update is another $850 , they don't miss an opportunity to get at you .

Don't forget that you will still have to add water, food, clothes, gas, toys...........
Make sure that it does not exceed the max towable for the vehicle too.
Cheers,
Peter
