I have been absent from the forum for sometime, as I was selling up. This has happened today.
I am now officially unemployed, and retired. Off tomorrow to pick up my truck, and then start the adventure.
On my return, hope to post lots of jokes

Good luck Bob
If you get a wireless laptop you can be in touch just about anywhere-or even use the internet cafes I guess -not that I have used them at this point. I do find the wireless laptop great though for staying in touch when travelling.

Bob I also meant to say that it's good to hear from people as they travel along /what they find along the way -a travel log. Helps keep us ones still stuck in the one place a sense of the adventure. Thats my take on it anyway. All the best.

You go Bob, and congratulations. Doesn't it feel good? Retirement feels oh sooooo good, especially when it's on your terms. Now I'm too busy, even if I could return to the work force. The nomad lifestyle keeps me really busy, and in my spare time I write about it. Do you have a plan or agenda? Keep us posted. This site is great for chatting to fellow nomads, single or not. Maybe we'll pass on the road sometime. All the best to you, safe and happy travels, and stay upright. Cheers Granny

On ya all, Just back from Pt Augusta SA with truck, so I will repond to your notes in this. I do not know about retiring, as I sold up and then headed off. 3 days on the road bring the truck back, so I have not had time to consider anything. Sorry Dave, could not stop to meet you, as I had a 3 day permit to drive the truck, and was on log book. I plan to get the internet on my laptop, just did not have time before I left. I was surprised at the amount of time I had signal for my mobile (meaning internet access) across the middle. This encourages me to get it and expect to be able to use it My truck is for GN purposes, as I am not a trailer/caravan person. I plan to put a 44ft trailer behind, deck it out as a home, and have my car inside. Unload the car to explore, and use the truck combo as a base. I will have my work tools in it, and work as I go, or use the primemover to truck other peoples trailers (paid work) Anyhow, this is getting long, so I will stop, and rejoin the ranks as a poster and hopefully find a joke or two to share Thanks for the support
