Is it permissible to advertise various caravan and camping bits and pieces as well as full units on this site to give other GN's first pick of items up for disposal .
I have noted a number of Sports Fishing Forums have a section to advertise pre-loved items to aother members.

I guess if it is okay with the webmistress cindy and if it was kept to a short list of personal items, then perhaps it wouldnt hurt, but the correct place for it would be in the adverts on the front page of the nomad

when you first "poke in" grey nomads the opening part is the nomad, it can be found here http://www.thegreynomads.com.au/
in there you will find on the left top, a section colored in blue, in that selection you will see advertising
I really cant see a problem with putting a few items for sale amongst ourselves and it is to be commended that you think of us first, however I am not sure that cindy will see it in this light

If we can't help one another then who can we help. There must be many out there with gear they just don't need anymore or want to tun it into a quid.
I picked up parts for an old style fish finder , had it not been for another forum member and the postage cost it would have gone into the bin.
Don't get me wrong I don't propose another E Bay set up

well actually you are on the forum that is part of the nomad, the nomad is the first section of the initial site, the "nomad" is like a periodical front page with advertorial and opinions from the owner and operator of the site, that then opens up all little offshoots such as this forum

Items for sale sounds like a great idea. I will probably just create a special forum for this so that people can post their own pic and others can ask questions (on the forum) about each item. I'll put it online in the next day or so and will add a few instructions (and warnings about as well) so everyone treads carefully regarding contact details and the process of buying and selling.
