We as Australians all really have something to celebrate in this great land. Even with the huge economic doom and gloom , we are still, we believe "The Lucky Country"
I leave you with this image (all done in Photoshop), which I did as a part of a contest, celebrating Australia Day.
Cheers and have a good one - take it easy on that Watermelon vodka Dave! LOL
that is very well done indeed, I only hope the judges recognised the talent within and awarded you as such
actually havent had the watermelon vodka for a while, she's gonna be in the 40's here for the next week so may whip it up again
which photoshop are you using I use cs3 as well as lightroom which are very good programs
"lucky country" hell we are what we make it "THE BEST DAMN COUNTRY ON EARTH" with the best damn people on earth
received a lot of emails this morning from all over the place and one really got to me which I thought was apropriate for such a day
How all business phones should be answered!

mate, was jesus australian, anybody that has wandered anywhere over gods country, which we call our very own, already knows that answer,
anybody that has ever witnessed a sunrise over a lake on the free land, anybody that has sat and watched the brolgas dance or a mob of whistling ducks coming in to a kakadu wetland, or the cicadas on a hot queensland summers eve, caught a Barra in a backwater, wandered along the murray river, meandered through the kimberleys, patted a dolphin at monkey mia, heard a didgeridoo at uluru, listened to the baby crocs call their mother from deep within a nest, a kookaburra at daybreak...................... we all know that answer
we've been lucky enough to have done all this and more, we look forward to doing more of this, because we bloody well can!!! such is the freedom afforded to us all
all I can say is "am I glad to be here, MAAAATE", YOU BET YOUR DANGLY BITS on that one
Basil you know my sentiments, if I was there you would hear me a mile away, I'd be the loudest, the most brashish and outstanding amongst the gathered crowd
monday I will have a beer with a few mates and toast a lot of things, a great family, a great country, great freinds and an everlasting debt to our warriors past and present who gave us the chance and the freedom, hopefully the recognition to enjoy all these things and more. and the nouse to actually get out and apreciate the chance we have been given through sacrifices unknown and unrewarded
the AUSTRALIAN WAY OF LIFE, gotta love it, best in the world!!! no contest!!! I'll shut up now!!!

Actually Dave you are right! Below is a photo of Jesus (AKA hubbie Brian) bringing a near dead magpie back to life near Katherine NT in June 1975.
pretty close but I know for a fact that I am the true saviour, in my younger years my father was often heard to sing out in loud prayer "Jesus Christ what are you doing now" or "jesus christ, did you break that"

so there is two of you, every time I yell Jesus Chriiiiiist!! a voice in the background always responds with "yes my child"
he might get away with being called Jesus but I'm not so sure I could claim to be the Virgin Mary!
Peace be with you !
