Just discovered this place returning from Sydney on Sunday. It's at the Derrick VC rest area about 10 -15 mins south of Marulan. The Towrang Stockade where the usual attrocities were commited by the Poms on their fellow human beings and they were working on the Great South Road, there is a really nice, very "tasmainian" stone bridge and about 6 matching stone culverts built in 1839. All these years driving past and had it not been for Gracie wanting a drink I'd have never stopped, very nice facilities here too for an overnight stay or a picnic or a nature ramble...
yep reminds me of a small version of the bridge at Richmond.

Richmond inTassie? You are spot on.What a great place to visit, historical, good pub, beaut walks. The Bridge is something special, makes you wonder how they constructed such things without the gear that is used now.We owe a heap to our early ancestors.Cheers Ibbo.
