When we were away a couple of weeks ago, I was booked for speeding...less than 15klms above the speed limit (50klms/hr). It happened to be 22/02/2009... the date of Jude's and mine 40th wedding anniversary. Have no problem with that, as I acknowledge was done fair and square...for speeding that is........ I wrote away and asked for a waiver due to my good driving record over the past 10 years or so. Phoned relevant authorities in NSW today and was advised the fine and loss of demerit points was waived because of the good driving record. Asked when the last time I had collected a speeding fine..was told 1993 ...16 years ago...the date 22/02.... the day of our 24th wedding anniversary!!!!! The wag (female) from the relevant authority said she did not want to hear from me on 22/02/2019...50th wedding anniversary....... as she thought I may be trying to set a precedent...................

It's one of those days you should stay in bed, as you did 40 years back
