Does anybody know what's happening around Oz. Rallies, who's going where and when, things of interest that we might like to attend.

Have a look on the internet. Google "festivals in Australia", and who knows what you'll turn up, where.
I have considered travelling around oz following festivals. I'd be busy for about 3 years.
Have fun. Chris

Easter in the bush at Roma. Chocka block weekend of events. Went up for a look see today, street markets, horse racing, rodeo tonight, something for everyone. The mud derby was a great event. Only damper on today was it rained all day but its needed.

Even poor old almost derelict Einasleigh west of the Tablelands is having a picnic race weekend today and tomorrow. Not much out there except the pub and railway for the Savannahlander. But I bet they have a ball. The country should be a picture after the floods.
My friends tell me Bedourie, the channel country down to Innamincka looks a picture right now with wildflowers, and the birdlife is amazing.
Well, no point in preaching to the converted. We all know what a wonderful country we live in, for all sorts of reasons.

oh granny its bad enough sitting here when I should be travelling, without telling me about what I'm missing, seen the flowers down through the channell country and it is a glorious sight to behold, not quite as good as outback W.A. but it comes close

Sorry Dave - NOT!
As we travellers know, every place has its own beauty for many reasons, even if it's just for the memories gathered while visiting.
I've only seen that country out around Birdsville at its driest. Nothing but dust.
But I can only imagine how beautiful it must look. Green and blooming, bringing with it the animals which take advantage of the rare event.
Hold that thought and enjoy the memories.
