The video of Broken Hill reminds me of a similar event in Cobar in 1967 (?)

What amazing vision of an actual event as it happend. No science fiction there.
Cairns still has a pale pink hue and the rainforest is in the haze of dust and smoke.
The smoke wasn't too bad today, but the dust haze was thicker than it had been over the past 3 days. Quite eerie.
On those photos of Sydney I think I saw Innamincka drift over the bridge.
What will the long term impact of such a huge soil shift?
It's one way to make the earth move I suppose.

What great links, thanks for that. Brought to mind that great science fiction novel, "War of the Worlds" by H G Wells. The Red paeril of the Martian invasion!!!!

Fantastic..... Has anyone tried to clean up the dust? I tried the workshop vacuum - no good, had to resort to the Karcher and "blast" it out of the concrete...

My visitors left the doors and windows open while Guru and I were at the hospital visiting his Mum. Dust in, on, over and under everything. Cleaned through twice already and still finding it.
Finally decided a damp paper towel and then hit it with the furniture polish. So far so good.

I'm not washing Rosy until the dust stops in Cairns. It's still a mixture of bushfire smoke and dust. Cough, cough, cough.
My eyes are dry and sore when I'm outside.
Poor Rosy is parked next to the van oh so dirty. And the honeyeaters are still in love with their reflections in the dirty side mirrors. Bless 'em.

After all my recent dramas with technology, I am now an expert.
An "ex" is a has been.
A "spert" is a drip under pressure.
