Very good vehicle and 2004 wasn't a bad year for the Pajeros. They are reliable and fairly economical to run. The Exceed has all the gadgets. In my opinion.....go for it.
But do get it checked out thoroughly.................that goes for any s/h vehicle

I own a Diesel Pajero (manual, basic model) that I purchased new in 2003 and I've been very happy with it. I found the suspension a little soft for towing so I fitted OME (ARB) suspension. I think the Exceed has a different suspension to the standard models (not sure). The diesel has good fuel consumption when towing, don't know anything about the petrol's consumption. Also have a long range tank ("Longranger") and auxiliary battery. I've taken out the "kiddie" seats and installed an extra shelf to give more stowage space in the back.
