Wow this machine is a ripper. Ok don't worry if you only like vanilla. So far I've made a batch of bannana, Chunky Ginger, Choc chip.... Really easy to make and it comes out the consistency of Mr Whippy then you put it into a container and freeze to store it....
I wonder if the bowl thing will fit in the caravan freezer, I could start up a thriving busness on the road selling Ice creams to little kiddies instead of having to give them boiled lollies.....
Aldi never ceases to amaze me though with the stuff they sell.

Yes, with real rum, not fake rum flavouring like they use in the commercial stuff - should be a nice drop. Can you see the breath test results?

When will Aldi set up shop in the wild West ?
We desperately need to give colesworthIGA some encouragement to show a bit of respect towards their customers.

last one we had I reckon was down in victor harbour, cost about $6 but they were huge double bunger jobbies with three scoops on top!
took two men and a mighty fierce cattle dog to eat one!

For those who can't get to Aldi I did an ebay search,
I just buy the Easy-Yo Ice-cream Powder. Just mix with water, [I add an extra 100 ml. eg. 500ml.] get to just freezing, break up, and whip for 5 minutes. Re-freeze. Lovely and creamy, and only 6% fat in 2 litres.
Cheers,
xina.

That's not enough Xina!! How do you expect me to maintain this fine physique with only 6% fat?? Takes more than that to turn the ice cream machine on!!

Ok however you have to soak the raisins in the rum overnight to get them to plump up and become more flavoursome....And you can't use to much rum as it is an antifreeze.... BUGGA!!!
