yep would recommend those although I havent got them!

I have the first book and can highly recommend it. It covers technical issues in a manner that a layperson can easily understand.  The author is a technical journalist and former editor of an electronics magazine.

I have no doubt that the second book mentioned would be just as useful for those who use, or plan to use, solar panels.
