I worked there part time back in the early 80's and it was pretty flash then but can't comment on standards these days.
Look at all the palms, I planted most of them.

great fishing spot just in behind the park at Buffalo creek, just watch out for the snapping handbags and sandflies on dusk.

Hi  Roamin,  we stayed there a year or two ago and loved it, good fishing at Buffalo Ck. or off the rocks at the point and close to Casurarina shopping centre for your goodies. The thing we liked was the informality, no defined van sites, just set up where ever you want, its a huge park. I think there was a dozen or so small shower/ laundry blocks so there's no waiting. I guess staying next to great people left us with memories of a great time

Haven't stayed there but had a look round when we were in Darwin 2 years ago. There seemed to be plenty of room with large sites and lots of en-suite sites or so it seemed. It was a little run down to my eyes but a lot of work was going on so maybe it has been refreshed. As Di and Gary said handy for the large shopping centre and the fishing holes. Every where in Darwin is only 20 minutes anyway.

stayed there earlier this year and yep it's pretty good!

We felt it was very big and impersonal, few too many large tour groups for our liking. Have stayed at Hidden Valley and Free Spirit, but these days prefer Howard Springs - very pleasant park and away from sandflies.

Hi i have checked web sites,read reveiws from Badgers pages taken every thing on board.
But i have been out voted by the minster of war&peace it looks like the Oasis c/p.
Do not worry i will my fishing days set in concrete.

We have stayed at Lee Point in '06 and in '08. It seemed to rundown a lot in two years. They were doing a lot of work there so maybe it has improved in the last two. We will be back there in June this year as it is easy to access.

Lots of midgies last time but I neglected to take my vitamin C, won't make that mistake again.

One thing I did not like, the old men emptying their night buckets then rinsing them in the laundry tubs outside the ammenities. DON"T use those tubs guys.

We stayed at the Oasis, very cramped and the ammenities are spread out furthur, we were right next door to one, that was too close for comfort, thank God for earplugs.

I would choose Lee Point out of the two, its not as far into Darwin and not so cramped.
