Hi All,
Has anyone heard or used this new type of paint for caravans.
It is claims your van will be 50% warmer or cooler if you paint it on the outside of your van.
Also curious on the cost if anyone knows.
Apparently there has been an ad in the CMCA Wanderer for this product.
Thanks

Hi rolex, There is a paint firm at Beenleigh in Queensland called Australian Paints. they are on the web and am going to use this product (you have to prep the roof of course with wot they call an ETCH PRIMER and use the top coat i think is called Thermoshield.)It is a bit pricey but recently whilst at kingscliff nsw, i spoke to chap who done their 10yr old viscount with this product and he was stoked with it. It is supposed to be waterproof too. Hope this helps you somewhat.

Hi Rolex,
I have put it on the roof of the bus, it did drop the temp a bit but what you must also think of is the sun still hits the side of your van. It is not hard to apply (brush or roller). I don't know about warmer though, and yes it is three lots to apply. dropped our temp by 5 to 7 deg.
Cheers

There was some discussion on this subject many months ago, but i can't find it. seem to remember that the consensus of opinion was all positive.
