are there any free travelling software for windows pcs? that help you with working out things ie like say you want to stay at a place for more than a few days etc
I think I saw a list last year on things like planners....travel logs etc

Milo, there are various sites available, like the ones mentioned in SmokyDK's response above, but you first need to know where you are planning to end up. Most of our travels, I have just used google to find out what is in the area etc, before actually planning on how I was going to get there.
Is that an old border collie i see?

Like Dunmowin I too use Google and Google Maps http://maps.google.com.au/ (note no www in the address). Try entering (say) caravan parks, nowra, nsw in the search bar to find caravan parks. I feel that you'll get more information from Google and the links Smokedk's post than you will in any special software.

Gee it does my head when someone posts to a very old thread & names of long gone (deleted?) forum members appear.
I well remember Milo & his plans (perhaps never realised) to get on the road & his devotion to his ageing Father. More than a decade since he left this forum.
I see that although his blog spot seems to be abandoned he did post on Face book just a few years ago.

Thanks for the heads up on that.
He came across to me as a gentle & kind sole looking for a way forward in life. I always viewed him as a nice guy.
So sad, but it's part of the cycle of life that becomes more apparent to us as we age.
RIP Milo.

Methinks ericmiles is a bot and if it's the best that "software development team" can do then they won't be doing a work for me!
