Hi all road report did the run up the middle of Queensland today . Road was good not many fuel stops fill up at Clermont at $1.43 a lite, toped up at Belyando Crossing at $1.84 per lite  not much traffic quite a few caravaners using it would use it again but not much to see just good for get to the north quick

Any single lane bitumen left? used to be some north of Cape River

All double lane from Emerald to Charters Towers , No Jonathan going into Townsville to met up with relations are you going up the Lynd on the Gregory dev Road

.. No .. I'll be going into Townsville too .. HF rally .. then up to Palm Cove, north of Cairns ..

Then head back down to Sydney via Tamworth in the latter parts of August .. will cross paths sometime .. cheers !

Jonathan do you know what the Harvey range road to Townsville is like from the gregory delop road

Some have suggested I take that road when I go too .. As for its condition and suitability, I have no idea at all.
At this point in time, I'm in no hurry as I have more than a week up my sleeve .. but I've also not heard anything 'bad' about it ..

The Hervey Range Development Road was excellent a couple of years ago. There is a drop off the range you will have to use a lower gear to descend.
