Probably be the el-cheapo model knowing the government. The Strong is a good brand I hear with all the bells & whistles. They were $150 a while ago.
I have the satellite set-up Bob but refuse to pay $150 for a new card to access free-to-air, especially when you then have to apply to gain access to 7 & 9. It's too limited.
There is a new platform coming around the end of the year according to SatPlus called VAST which is Freeview via satellite & is portable for $495 including everything.
I've put in my order for that system in preference to the others.

Strong box only standard definition so fairly useless
get a high def 240-12v Magnavox for $49 Warehouse, GoLo, Crazy Clarkes Magnavox superior receiver to Strong and better software for travellers

If you have Bigpond wireless have a look at Telstra T Box. T Box works on 240V and 12V $299 is a bargain.
which is better for the out back , rural areas , say travelling around WA?
if i get my campervan , could i put a small sat dish on the roof? or would a set top box be better? how do the sat ones work are they the same?
