Hi All, If you are coming to Sydney there is a new 72hr stop being built in Richmond (Hawkesbury area) It is being built by a local club and is going to be free. They are offering discounts at the club which in some ways may pay its way.It is only a short walk to the shops & railway station. The local paper has said that Hawkesbury council has approved the DA & the club hope to have it in operation in OCT.2010.
BIG TICK to them, but it wont be long before word gets out and the not so nice lot get there and , well you know what happens. you just can not camp near them.. It will depend on how the people the that run it take a stand. Good on them for trying should be more of them.. And how long before the CP starts to complain.. Im not negitive, just a fact of life..

Hey Tige, I can't open or see your attachment but did hear about it round the traps somewhere.
The only thing I can't work out is actually where the park is going to be? Any idea?

Gawd. now the area will be full of oldies wandering about. lol. might have to move further out.
Thumbs up for the Richmond Club that do a lot for this beautiful part of the world.
Will be a great spot for those passing or wanting to see Sydney , situated about 10 minutes from the M7 and a few minutes walk to Richmond train station.
Ma, It was the clubs lower car park in Francis St. and will have 24 sites. no mention of water or power, but i think a dump point will be there. Boom gates and cctv for security.
Tigers 1st link says 72 hour stay, second attachment says strictly overnight? will try and get confirmation of this.

Thanks John. Thought that is where it would be. Also another very thoughtful member emailed me the attachment that Tige up up so I was able to read the item that was presumably published in the Gazette.

This is going to be a great place for us to stay when we come to Richmond to visit with Rob's son, when he gets back from Afghanistan.
