We are travelling up the coast from Brisbane to Stanage bay north of Rocky. Stanage does not have a water supply so we have to cart our own in. We would prefer to leave here with empty tanks and storage containers, and fill up in Rockhampton. I have a universal tap - can anyone tell me where I can access fresh potable water in rocky? boat ramp... park , picnic area, truck stop etc, cheers and thanks in advance - Pete

Hey Pete,
On the way out of Rocky heading North there are several servo's on your left with easy access, the showgrounds is also on the left of the main road through town so you should be able to top up tanks on the way through..
Alternatively just to the North of Rocky is a small town called the Caves, there is bound to be a tap etc there.
Hope that is of some help mate.

Hi Petengail,
If your going straight through, I'd agree with Grumpyone. If you're going to Emu Park, or Yeppoon on your way, you could get rainwater from my place. I'm at Cawarral, halfway to both.
Will be interested in hearing the condidion of the road out to Stanage Bay. Haven't been there yet.
Cheers, Sheba.
