The new caravan got its first airing this week, with a trip to Goulburn, which turned out a bit ordinary with cold windy weather and a busy caravan park with not-too-level sites. Next day, with sun shining, we went out to Bungonia Reserve, where we had the entire campground to ourselves. No electricity, but lotsa birdsong, wildflowers, a few easy bushwalks, and Blessed PEACE! All the gadgets on/in the caravan worked well, we have a long "Bring next time" list, and feel completely de-stressed and ready for more. I even did some of the towing!

After travelling with a camper trailer, we packed very economically, still have half of the cupboards and plenty of room in the Prado to fill! Actually, the things on the list include boring little things like a dustpan and brush, small torch instead of the big one, stubby-holders, etc. Essentials really.

Hi Gert,
Just watch those stubbie holders - we have had experience with them 'shooting out' of the top cupboard at me when we have pulled up for the night - they then jump clean out the door, think they are sending us a message? Anothing suggestion for your torch - in the Innovations dogalogue is a solar torch (around the $39mark and is on page 114 of the current Christmas book) but really good - when we remember to collect them off the ledge of the kitchen window as we head out the door. Love Pilot Bear - perhaps one day we might meet up and introduce him to Crosby T. Bear (T. for Teddy of course!)

Hi Gerty Dancer.
Pleased to hear that your maiden voyage went so well...
And I completely agree with Pejay about the solar torch.
Cheers.

This thread was started in 2010! and we've happily done quite a few kilometers since, but thank you.
Yes, theres heaps of room at Bungonia, and I only know it as Bungonia State Conservation area.
