A few of you may remember our experience a few weeks back with a missile through the car & out the rear window, & life long friend has just had a lead wheel balance weight penertrate the front awning & window of their van. The peice of lead remained wedged in the window & against the insect screen.

Lucky it was the van and not the car windscreen

Lucky, When I get my wheels done ,if there is a large weight. I tell the guy to put 2 instead of one big one. On rough roads the big one will break in the middle and you will lose both sides of the thing.. This has happened to me .. Just a thing to watch next time you have your wheels done....

If you have mag wheels (or maybe they can be used on steel as well) get them to use the flat stick on ones. Have never lost one of those but plenty of the rim style has disappeared over the years.
On mag wheels they are usually stuck on the inside of the rim so the rotational force keeps them in place.
Safe travelling.
