Train them to ride in the basket! You might be able to buy special pet-baskets. (I knew a lady who carried her cat in her bike basket, shed trained it from a kitten)
Or put 'em in a backpack?

I have seen little dog trailers that go at the back of bikes. The dogs seemed to be loving it.

Can't help myself.......
Harness the dogs and use as auxiliary motor.

I've seen happy dogs in baskets on the front and the back of bikes. It is possible for small dogs and they seem to enjoy the ride.
Safe and happy travels to all of you.

I regularly walk on a nearby cycleway/walkway (the Fernleigh Track, it was featured in the travel section of yesterday's SMH) and often see those little bicycle trailers with toddlers in them (including twins). Can't recall seeing any dogs in them I can't see why not.

Be careful not to "Spoonerise" this topic! (sorry, just my warped sense of humour.)

My son used to carry his cat in a backpack on his motorbike! He'd tie him in and just leave enough open for him to breath. This was in the days before he and d.i.l were married and were living a several kms apart.
But I think the child trailer would be good. Of course, it'd add to your load.

Hi Cheryl,
If you can't take them in a basket on the front, check out this link. bit pricey though.
