Well, on 22 Feb my plan is to leave Boonah Qld to go to Porepunkah Vic, for about a week, I have allowed myself 3 days to get there, it is my first solo trip towing my 14ft Coromal Cygnet pop top. Bit apprehensive, but as I have plenty of time, I reckon I will be ok.
If you see me - Black Nissan Terrano towing 14ft Coromal pop top - say g'day - going down Newell firstly then over to Albury - back the same way about a week or so later. My only worry is coming down through Cunninghams Gap from Warwick to Aratula with the ladnslip problem at the moment. May have to find an alternate route. I'll see.

Many of us have done Cunninghams Gap Jules, some of us like it - I do - and some of us don't.
It's like any hill if you take your time then all should be ok.
The landslip is well signed posted and I believe they now have stop and go traffic lights as well.
Take your time and enjoy the experience and I'm sure you will meet up with some of us along the way.
Travel safely.

3 days should be ok. I've done 3 days from Echuca to Bundaberg. 600 ks a day. You are close to Brisbane so not so many ks.
Off to check the map for Porepunkah.

Probably about 6-7 days - long enough - have things to do back home here - bowls, squash, etc etc - running a market at local show in May so need to get to markets to meet stallholders and get them signed up - flying back to Melb in late March for wedding - very busy - See you on the road soon?

I can imagine it will be, just take it easy, relax and take an extra day if you have to. Just remember we don't have to hurry to get anywhere, enjoy the scenery and you will be ok.
Got your PM, thanks.

Yes I think a bit much for me - anyway it is 1423 k - so maybe about 450k per day with the extra bit on the last day - I'll just have to see how I go - when I drove up from Melb on own (not towing) left Dubbo 6am - got to Aratula (near home) by about 3pm, and I was taking it easy, stopped for coffee etc. Thanks for your response. All the best Jules. You'll be fine if you just take your time. Towing at 80-90KPH will take you a little longer with the van, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
It's a good run to see how you and the vehicle cope.

That's what I thought - I know where I am going to, so don't really have to think about that, just watch the road, stay alert, stop when need to etc.
I reckon I'll be fine.
Thanks for caring

Thats when I was only drivng a car " kiasen", not towing anything. On my own, 300ks in morning and 300 ks in afternoon. Thats why I suggested to Jules she take extra days, no need to hurry. She will be less stressed by taking her time.

3 DAYS darling that is a disaster looking for a place to happen.
1500 clicks 500 a day towing single driver not good.
Darling seriously I would take min 6 days and probably 10 or 12 days.
Need to take time to smell da daises and the fresh air.
