Have to ring them in the morning to transfer my insurance. Just wondering before I do, if they do or if I should start looking for someone else. I have a rating 1 for life Diamond status with them so hope to continue.
I also have a RACV membership so wonder if they do, if Aami dont?

I've insured my van with Caravan Insurance Ltd (CIL), and my car is with Allianz.
You can insure through the RACV, Australian Seniors.
I'm sure AAMI will insure the camper van. You price and research insurance on the internet to make comparisons of prices and benefits.
Why can't you continue the comprehensive insurance with your current insurer?

Thats what I want to do CG, my current insurer is Aami for my last vehicle. I want to transfer it to the Toyota HiAce.
Someone suggested they might not insure campervans. I can't see why not.

No, still at the mechanic patrolst. But I see when I went passed in bus today he is working on it thats a good sign. He had to fit it in between his already booked in jobs.
Frustrating I know but I have to try and be patient. Hope to head north early April so have a month to get it all set up.

Have looked at joining and get your insurance through the CMCA?
Seems many Campervanners go down that route.

When I set up my old van in Broome I had to send photos of my cyclone tie downs to CIL. It was on site at the time. When I upgraded to the current van I just changed over and had to tell them when I went from on site to on road.
It's in your best interest to keep them informed of your movements.
CMCA seems to look after their members. I don't know who the underwriters are, but if it works.... it's worth a shot.
Shop around while you're waiting for your vehicle to be ready. I'm jealous. How exciting to be heading off. Safe travels.

I'm with RACQ in Qld. Have insured all my vehicles [plus H/C] with them, including the Hi-ace.
Haven't had a problem with minor claims yet.
Cheers, Sheba.

Aami do not insure Campervans.
Have gone with RACV. Couldn't believe how cheap they are. $20.60 a month which is $247.00 for the year plus another 5.00 a month to cover all windows, not just the windscreen, with no excess (for the windows).
$550 excess on the comprehensive insurance.

glad you got Myrtle insured Marj, but no good to me RACT won't insure mine because it has a 4 litre engine but would have if she had a 3.500!

I insured my car with RAC WA, but when my postal address changed to SA and I didn't have a residential address, they wouldn't let me insure with them anymore, in spite of the fact I was travelling and was still registered in WA.
I have a rating 1 for life Diamond status with them so hope to continue.
I also have a RACV membership so wonder if they do, if Aami dont?
