Thought we would let you know that our 'sitting it out' here in Townsville (even with Yasi dropping in for a visit) paid off about an hour ago (3pm) - our daughter gave birth to a healthy (8lb7oz) baby boy to go by the name of Max Owen (the Owen after my father who passed away 2 1/2 yrs ago, and he and Kate were very close). He would have been quite chuffed with that, as after my nephew he is only the second boy for about 4 generations. Mum, Dad & Bub doing well.

Well done! To mum I mean. You can now celebrate while she recovers.
I still reckon the blokes get the best deal.
They have all the fun getting them in there. You try getting them out again!

Just got back from the hospital, and oh he is S-O cute!!! Had a little cry, then settled down for a sleep.
One very doting father, me thinks!!!
Oh by the way, Nanna & Poppa are also doing extremely well.
Forgot to say - yes it's my first grandchild - sadly my mother just didn't comprehend this afternoon when they rang her at the home - what a real bugger that Dementia is - her first great-grandchild!!
