When its folded have a look at where the legs fit. I havent got ours where I can check it, but I think the legs fold in that space?

I have one the square fits nicely onto the side of the caravan if you turn it around it has a slope into the wall of the caravan , also if you have 2 table they fit neatly together butting square side to square side

I still dont see the reason for the sloping side

Agreed, Smokeydk - we have one of those and it's just the right size for us, but I do have to watch that neither of us forgets that bevel and puts their glass too close to the edge. I see no reason for it at all, as the legs fold into the other side without the bevel.

I have a Colman round folding camp table. It's quite compact when all folded up.
I prefer round tables for entertaining. I use a small folding table for happy hour.
There are so many bits and pieces out there. I also use an aluminium folding bench as my portable outdoor kitchen, with the slats.
It's all about weight, space and versatility.

The reason for the bevel edge is: if you spill something you do not need to wipe it with a cloth you just slide the back of your hand across the table towards the bevel edge and its all gone, just rolls of the edge. lol

You mean something like red wine - don't you just lick it up????????????????? I have one of these tables too, as do a couple of friends - never really thought about the sloping bit - just thought it was a design feature - two butted together make a good size mah jhong table though. A game to be enjoyed without red wine though!!!
