Hi Ma & Beth,
Just seen the 'happy snap' Camps 6 in RACQ here in wet old Townsville for $74.95 (RRP $89.95) so I would asume (?) that Beth you may have purchased the one without the piccies of the various camp sites, hence the price difference.

That's right Pejay. Pictures would have been nice, but way too costly for me budget.
Not sure if Ma paid $80.95 for the ordinary one or the 'happy snaps' one.
Ma?

I've already found a cheap camp that sounds like something my family would enjoy. Couple of hours from home. (Qld)

I'm told that Hema publish "Camps" ... if so ... I just need to walk or ride a couple of hundred yards from home base to their head office to pick up a copy!

You're partly right Cupie.
It's compiled, designed and published by Philip and Cathryn Fennell, but they use Hema maps.
I've used hema maps before and found them the most accurate.

I dont know about you folks, I just brought my copy..in my old age (62) I find it hard to read, I wear glasses and still find myself looking for the magnifier, plus its seems a bit disjointed to me...althought still very good. Turtle

I found I had to read in good light. Some of the smaller words aren't so easy to see. And yes, I wear glasses too.
But I'll have other maps for more detailed study.

Whatever the price (we paid $89 for the Camps Snaps) you make it up in a few nights free camping. Good value.

My thoughts exactly.
When travelling with my sister and b-i-l last year, I thought it was a fabulous book, and was eager to get my own before I head off this year.

ChiChi1, I have to blame you mate, sorry.
We had no intentions of buying a new Camps book, still have Camps 5 and updated, BUT, you flashed the NRMA prices so off we went.
His gold membership had to be good for something I say. I am busy scouring the new book as we speak..
I'm excited!
I bought my Camps 6 today from RACQ for $49.95.
Now to sit with a cuppa and explore.
