Lent my old gq to my neice for the long w/end [ wa ] She wrote the bloody thing off!! I think she went through a red, & hit a unmarked cop car! Built up area, no injuries so thats a 'bonus'... I know ..... why lend it ?.but i know that her & her family would move heaven & earth to give me a hand etc. if needed [ & have ] The car had every xtra for remote travel, & had been very well maintained,The ins. will not be enough t FULLY replace it.. Am lucky I am not presently travelin with the van, so as soon as all settled can still go away [see bio ] Still a pi.soff!!!!
Oh No Phil !!!! Don't blame you for Not being Happy.
With all the extras as you have said put into it, there is no way insurance will cover it all. Can you ask who ever takes the vehicle if you can go in and get some of those extras out if they are not damaged?

All that damage and everybody's OK... goes to show your old truck was made good and strong!
Its a loss Phil, you'll miss it and all the bits'n'pieces you'd done to it. No wonder you are P***ed!
Keep us posted and let us know what you decide to replace it with?

My heart would be broken as much as your truck if that was mine.
I'm glad nobody was hurt considering your truck was written off. Gotta watch those red lights. They pop up in front of you when you lest expect it.
Is there camera vision from the site?
Good luck with the insurance.

Sorry to hear of your bad luck Phil.
Thankfully no one was hurt...physically that is...
It sure looks a mess.
Hope the insurance isn't too long winded about paying up.

Mornin all, thanks f your replies.. the insurance is no prob. jus waitin for the rego papers t come from Queensland. My neice spoke to someone who said that the cop car went through the red! ,but, she didnt think t get a name etc.!! Not sure if there is a camera at the intersection?.... Wont rush out & replace yet, goin on the bike East for awhile, no good payin for rego/insurance to jus sit there? Just as an 'aside', is deisel still the 'preferred' option for towin & reliability? givin the price diff. is now turned round???[ maybe this should be a new thread ]............

Maybe you should ask the coppers to replace your car.........Don,t die laughing. See bulbars are good for protecting you against the coppers, and other ferrals.

Don't let anyone bluff you! You are entitled to remove ANYTHING from the car that is not noted on the insurance policy.
If you fitted something and upped the insurance cover to protect it then it belongs to the Ins Co on a write off.
If not noted on the policy then it belongs to YOU!!!!! Remove it prior to auction. Should be removed in the tow yard prior to settlement really.

Gee that's handy to know. Thanks Delta18.
I prefer diesel and manual for towing, but that's just my personal choice. Grunt with economy.
