Our first stop was the G/Coast where we spent ten days with family, they also joined us along with two couples from back home for the Alan Jackson concert in Brissy,a fantastic night. Moving on to the Sunshine coast & hinterland we had the pleasure of meeting up with GN's Gary & Kerry & Glassies, just great people & many thanks for your company. On to Maleny where we spent three nights at the local showgrounds, $15 a night with power & hot showers, this would have to be one of the most utilised grounds I have seen. The pavilion houses excersice classes, the basement has a full GYM, starts at 6am to 8pm with people attending all day. there is arts & craft, tennis courts, crockie club [spelling] , the main arena is also socker fields & so on, I think a lot of other towns could take a few lessons from this. There are spectular lookouts only minutes from town, extending back to the coast. The drive from Maleny through Montville to Mapleton is very sceinic. Will head west to Kenilworth for some bush camping in the forests before we head towards the NT. Thats it in a nut shell for now, will check in when possibile.

Sounds great place to camp. I've been up there for a sightseeing trip from Bribie for lunch and a look around.
The council obviously recognises the asset in the local recreation facilities and uses it to the fullest or the benefit of the ratepayers.
How councils vary in their service to their community, giving value for rates.
Spread the word wherever you go so that other councils have the opportunity to make the most of their assets.
