Hi guys, just read the Dick Smith catalogue and they are advertising 300watt power invertors for $79.98 + 12v warmer/cooler free..........pretty good price for anyone interested.

We bought a TV at dick smiths thinking it would be good this is the second and last time I ever buy from dick smiths Twice we have bought something there and both time it's been a lemon they are now replacing another TV which is good but we have had the tv 12 months and it's been in repairs 11 and a half months. I got one of those inverters 12 months ago for about $50. It workd well for small things like lap top and chargeing phones. I find it works better if connected direct to a battery

A 300w inverter should be wired to the battery & asclose as posible to the battery. Its capable of drawing 30Amps @ 300watt.

Super Cheap have Pure Sine Wave inverters for $119 (300w), also larger sizes. IMHO this would be better value. I became aware of this when Happywanderer mentioned she had purchased one for "Myrtle"
