Just been in Blackall in outback Qld. We were interested to see the Big Ram, as the one at Wagin in WA was quite impressive. Unfortunately Blackall's specimen falls a long way short, it is neither big nor recognisably a ram. Pick the difference in the photos below!
looks like one of them way made by the kids using fairy floss and the other one is made out of concrete...............lol...................and Mrs. N. has different coloured shorts on.

I suspect it's wethered quite well, a bit too well!
(PS: that's not a spelling mistake)

Yes, the one at Goulbourn is huge, I think it actually has a lookout platform inside. However, the ram at Wagin is anatomically correct (as you can see above the 'in' of Wagin), I'm not sure whether Goulbourn's merino is quite so endowed?? Certainly Blackall's 'ram' doesn't quite make it in the, ahem, testicular stakes.

Have to say we were disappointed with the 'Black Stump' around in a back street (a little hard to find) in Blackall as well.

I think Goulburns ram has been wethered due to the people vandalising his "parts" over the years. Last I saw he didnt have them.
