Helena,
Checked out Go See Australia's website. It lists all C/P's in Aust. Also had a look at Badgers site, it has one report, not real glowing.....
Have a look at this http://www.goseeaustralia.com.au/caravan_parks_list/nsw/bellata/accommodation/
Here's one from Badgers site http://home.vicnet.net.au/~badger04/parks_n5.htm#lgvpbel
Hope this helps

Thanks Rosco, after looking at the photo I think we will give it a big miss we don't normally go into caravan parks but was looking for something just after Narribri but as we don't have a 4WD we have to be careful where we go so it looks as if it is back to the drawing board so to speak. Helena.

There is a new rest area about 10-15klms toward Moree on youir right from Narrabri. Not a bad spot as you can get 60 mtrs or so away from Newell Highway, which has lots of truck movements day and night.

If its not too late and you're not too far out of Narrabri the 'Big Sky Caravan Park' cnr Violet and Tibereena St is really nice, close to RSL and short walk to town and very reasonably priced :)

I stayed at that park on Christmas day on the way south, very very basic, no on site manager, someone rocks up every afternoon to see who has come in and collect the fees.

I have a feeling I stopped at that one on the way up for lunch Galahs. Is it a large gravelled area with toilets on the left about halfway back. If so plenty of room for everybody. Might be a different one though. Do you mean 10 - 15 ks from the Narrabri end??

Re the Big Sky at Narrabri, I thought it was fine when I stayed there nearly two years ago. Maybe the management arrangements have changed since then or perhaps it was because it was Christmas Day. Sure it lacked the "bells and whistles" of a Big4 style park but I came away with the impression that I'd be happy to stay there again and yes, it is very conveniently located.

Sorry Helena, I should have been clearer, I was referring to the Big Sky at Narrabri as a follow up to Goinsoon's post. I have edited my post to remove this ambiguity.
I suspect the "Little Gem" may no longer be in business as none of the searches comes up with it. I was interested for my own purpose as I regularly travel that way on my annual "northerly migration".

Hi Helena,
I checked out Camp 6 and there was only one phone number for Little Gem but I went to the Narrabri Shire Tourism website and they listed a couple of other phone numbers so I'v cut and pasted the details from the website if you are still looking for phone numbers.
Keep Smiling :)
