Got the winter woollies, got the napthalene, got the moth balls, got the peppermint oil, will keep the doors closed.
Surely with this cold weather they will have run further north where it's warmer. One can only hope.
Thanks for all the good wishes guys. Will keep you posted.

We are currently staying at Wallaroo and have two bucket/bottle mouse traps set up.
Result - 230 critters over the last 5 nights.
Record to date - 71 in one night !!!!
My Jack Russell X is in his element.
Cheers

No, I'm north closer to Adelaide. Have a good trip. I did that road a couple of years ago and it was a bit rough and narrow.

We are in Bendigo at the moment, for two nights. NIce little van park it's the A Line just out of Bendigo towards Castlemaine. Very clean and pleasant staff.
We did a "freebie" at Henty Man Reserve on the way down. Really cold but no mice that I saw.
Then a "freebie" just outside Yarrawonga, which I wouldn't recomment as it is "4WD" most of the way in. Lots of scurrying over the top of the van but nothing that I have noticed inside thank goodness.
I will PM you when we know for sure if we are coming to SA Smokey. It will all depend on Debe and their movements. Will let you know as soon as I can.

We only got one night in Bendigo, last night, and it wasn't too bad really. Certainly a lot warmer than the previous two nights.
Anyway, as I said we only got one night there as Blue's son rang to say that "Little Blue" wasn't waiting around for another week or so and decided that hibernation wasn't his thing.
Here it is 36 hours later and he's still procrastinating as to whether he wants to make an appearance or not.
We hightailed it out of Bendigo this morning and are now at the Crystalbrook Van park in Doncaster, sitting twiddling our thumbs waiting for a phone call. We will go back to Bendigo one day and do all the things we had planned on doing this trip.

Hey Ma - my sister was in the goldfields area last weekend and apparently there is gold to be found washed down in all the rain. It might be worth the investment in the necessaries, but if I remember rightly isn't Blue into a bit of fossicking anyway?
