Well our time down here in chilly Canberra has paid off and last night the newest member of our family came into the world @ 10.30pm after an emergency c-section. Mum had a bit of a rough time with it all but is OK, along with a very proud Dad - little Emily Grace weighed in at 3.655Kg and is 51cm long. Will head off to the hospital this afternoon and hopefully may be able to post a piccie or two later this afternoon.

Well done gramps! Congratulations to the parents. As long as everyone is healthy and happy. The name is pretty too. Well, I like it, not that it matters. At least she won't have to spell her name all her life.

HI All,
There has not been one person who has not said what a lovely name they have chosen, and she was such a good little girl this afternoon.
Trina though, is really not all that well, but hopefully with each passing day she will improve.
Will try and add a photo or two - let's see how I go:

Folks, I must apologise for the 'oversize' pics - still have to get the old grey matter (as can be seen in said pics) around how to 'attach' them correctly. But our thanks for the well wishes are much appreciated. Matt has left for the hospital already, and I understand they will try and get Trina up today - our 'shift' will be this afternoon again, and as we are slow risers in this chilly (OK cold) Canberra weather, we unselfishly volunteered for the 'late' shift - that way, we induldge in being lazy retirees, but still get to enjoy our lovely new granddaughter too.

Poor Trina will be a bit sore after a C-Section. Just needs time to get back some strength. All the best Trina.
