Won't be far behind you leaving home 1 st July and heading for Tasmania for 6 weeks - really looking forward to it. Been some 30+ yrs since I've been there, and Pete's never been.

Now I feel really guilty. Tassie is the only state I haven't done any travelling in. I'll have to plan something for next February perhaps. I'm told it's the best time if I want to avoid the coldest time, and to avoid the coldest time. Adelaide is already too cold for this acclimatised tropical hibernater. Just have a good time.

Hope you have a great time....but take your warmest clothes.
A friend and I travelled through Tassie for 5 weeks during Feb/March last year.
It was really beautiful and I had a wonderful time...but it was too cold for this self confessed wuss.

We are a weird mob?
Us "Eskimos" pack up and head north along with the "Mexicans" from Victoria and the "Troppos" head south?
If someone got there act together we could all save the trouble of towing long disyances and just swap caravans, etc in situ.
Anyway, please travel safely and enjoy our lovely state, or as one of our friends likes to say:- "Enjoy, weep and then go home!"
