Next Thursday, management and I are heading off for Seaforth, just north of Mackay, QLD. We will probably stay for 6 to 8 weeks and then may head inland and meet up with my brother and sil who will be in inland QLD. Hope it warms up. Was talking to the bloke in the tackle shop in Mackay this morning, and he said that it is freezing. I even lit the fire here (north of Brisbane), this morning.

Have a great trip. I'm at Standown Park (halfway between Gympie and Tin Can Bay) and I've got my heater going - it's just plain miserable out there today so I'm dealing with it by shutting all the curtains, cranking up the heater and getting into the gin and tonic. I know it won't help the weather but I figure I'll feel better about it.

13 here at 5pm as I closed my curtains, it feels like an especially cold night coming on. My son and family are over at Rainbow beach for a long weekend, saw the dolphins yesterday morning and said it is now raining and cold so won't be able to get out and about with the kids much.

Its 16c here at 6pm, and the southerners mightn,t think so, but I think its cold.Been down the boat ramp for a quenching ale and watch the sunset. Caught a couple of grunter and a bream, and watched the sunset. This is what Petengail are looking forward to at Seaforth. It must be better than Melbourne or Sydney, but maybe I am biased, being a Qlder. Have a good trip.

Might see you along the way Petengail. I'm heading north on Thursday too. You'll have a head start on me though,,I'm on the southside of Brisbane.
First stop, my sister at Cooloola Cove.
We who are all heading north will have to keep an eye out for each other!
