A friend sent me an e-mail about the newest Older Person craze. We have all heard about and been bored to death with the craze of "Planking". Well Plonking goes like this. You plonk yourself down in a comfy chair, grab your favourite glass of plonk, or whatever, and make yourself comfortable. Its optional to take pictures and send them to friends. What trendsetters we are - we have all been doing it for years... lol I am actually doing a pretty good job of it on my avatar!

I've been chided for calling wine "plonk", but where I come from anything made from the grape was "plonk". That's how it was in the Barossa. It's only since the snobbery of wine and its bouquet and age, graced our society and our pallets, that it lost the label of plonk. Anything from the grape will always be plonk to me. Cheers!

'Chateau Cardboard' will do me - it travels better in the van than bottles anyway. Now we are parked up for the night - Plonk 'n plonk is what we are about to do right now.

Plonk first.......then Planking......face up, lol! I've always known it as plonk too GN, but you don't hear it very often these days, a lot of the old terms are fast disappearing with American lingo being the go with the young ones.....

Enjoy plonking while you can. I see in the papers that the Canberra Cretins are hatching a plan to QUADRUPLE the price of wine casks to stop us drinking too much. That's sure to be another vote-winner. Cheers, Tony

It's happening everywhere. Control the drink rather than the drinkers. In Cairns you can't buy a wine cask before 4pm. In Broome you can't buy 4 litre casks, only 2 litre casks, but you can buy 2 x 2 litre casks at the same time. I won't try to explain it. Toooooooo hard.

Just been plonkin' & plonkin' - plonked ourselves in the artesian pools at the Gwydir Caravan Park at Moree for a little while, then after a shower, got out the plonk, to make an afternoon of it. Now, if the spelling is not all that crash hot on hare, you know why!!!
