My new avatar is my form of art, it is done with crushed glass of different colours, 5 minit Araldite glue and lots of time.
Does anyone else on GN have any unusual forms of art. ??????

I'm not very arty and I certainly don't collect it. There's only so much room in a 20ft caravan. I can't draw recognisable stick figures either. However, if you want me to write about it, I'm your girl. It does sound very interesting and a way of giving the picture another dimension of light.

He looks super fluffy mate.
My art is the same as CG, I write to express my inner beast.

I'm just taking lotsa photos, and learning tricks to take better ones. Love your tiger Robell.
I make silver chain jewellery (chain maille) - used to do cutting and polishing of gemstones and petrified wood etc., also done some silver smithing. Was in a gem club so had all the facilities there - can only do the chain maille work now, but that is fun anyway.

Hi Jules,
I spent 11 years mining sapphires at Anakie Qld gem fields and i never learned to cut the things, wish i had now, i sometimes go back there with my G/kids and they have found some good stones that i have had cut for them, would have been nice to be able to cut them myself for them.

Love the tiger, love the bird. Wish I was arty. Would love to be able to paint and write, always wanted to and never got there. Do a lot of photography which I think I am good at, need a decent camera. Thats taken a backseat at the moment. Been crotcheting a rug for the new grandson arriving in a few weeks, just finished it and daughter loved it.. Its going on the pram. Oh well, we can't all be clever, but we can admire others beautiful art.

Some very talented people on this forum, I just love those mosaics mate.
Not so fluffy FF, More like very course sandpaper. I use crushed glass in three different sizes strained through sieves.
Thanks Firefly, I have fun doing them.
