Hi Sue, not sure if this helps either but here goes, our son got married down there in Dec last year and I could not afford to stay in any park there. We opted for the Stop Over Caravan Park at Broardwater and commuted. Yeah I realize it a bit away but nice little park, pet friendly and Bart and co were a great team.

There is a park on the right hand side of the main road into Byron...about 9km out of town which I think takes dogs.

Just remembered the name...Belongil Fields but not sure if they still take dogs
