Hmmmmm......a company in WA has started selling registration reminder stickers, also available to other states following WA's lead in abolishing stickers, not a bad idea but it looks like you are supposed to buy one for each year, although you could just keep the one on the car, at least it would serve as a reminder of what month it is due. See this link;
We still have stickers here in VIC so we get the reminder in the mail. I assumed that with the WA system a letter or email would be sent to inform you of the up coming date for renewal.

I just got my reminder in the mail today...."pay your rego by 31 July & we won't send you a sticker" Thank you.
I can't see the problem, no more stickers to try to remove, I love it.
Cheers Neil.
ps: PCI tomorrow Vic, keys within 7 days...<whoopee>

Yes they do send out the payment reminder like they always did. There's just no sticker to follow eventually. SA will operate the same. Put the reminder in your phone with a month's lead up time if you're worried about it or your mail service is a bit slow when you're on the road.

It seems a few people in SA have been fined for driving unregistered vehicles because they forgot to re-register. I know they send out a reminder by snail or email, and there's just no excuse for not paying it. However, states like NSW and Vic don't seem to get the concept and are pulling cars up from SA and WA because they're not displying a sticker. So, who's not communicating and keeping up with the programme? The colonies are alive and well in the big country of Australia. I wish they'd get it together is so many things involving vehicles and travel.

No one wants to relinquish control of all those dollars and share them around equally. It's all about control, and at the moment we can't trust any of the governments to get it right. (Not getting political). Just stating fact.

On the sticker, George, I would like to see one also that only has the day and month due on it, including the month in big letters but no year shown.
ie: Keep the one you've done for the year due, but have another without the year for those who don't want to keep changing them for each year.
Just a suggestion,
Vic

Sort of Wombie, with MARCH in the year slot instead of 2012 for instance
but still the large 3 shown in the letters bit with the date in March, eg; 28th.....

Thats how it came out when I changed the digit for the month in words, think that is the best you can do with it, perhaps email the owner of the site and suggest you pref

I'll create a selectable alternative along those lines...
