From time to time members PM me seeking information or I PM members giving them information (usually negative) that I don't wish to post on an Open Forum. Today I posted some information about how to, and how not to, contact me. The Forum Adminsitrator has seen fit to deleted the thread in its entriety. The Thread was in no way and advertisement, nor was it abusive, inflamatory, negative, defamatory or of a possible litigious nature. Hmmm. Ozjohn.

Perhaps if Cindy had known you for as long as some of us she would have reconsidered, the help on caravanning matters you have helped others with on this and other forums is and has been much appreciated.
Perhaps Cindy may re-consider when she reads this thread?
PS: I did not read the post so cannot comment on the contents though. Thankfully I know how to contact you privately to John, although any member can pm you here for advice etc.

Hi all. Very disappointed to read this ‘censored’ accusation. I took down OzJohn’s original post and immediately PM’d him to explain the - what I consider to be - very valid reasons. I would never take down a post without messaging the person involved to explain why.I will PM him again to clarify our position. As many of you know, OzJohn is a very knowledgeable, helpful, and valued member of the forum and I would not edit his posts without what I consider to be good justification. I understand that he may disagree with my reasons. However, I always try to act with integrity and consistency. I am happy to explain any action I take on the forum and, as most of you know (and I think appreciate), I tend to be far more relaxed than most moderators. This site is very lucky to have such a helpful and thoughtful group of contributors and I very rarely have to take action. I would prefer not to get into a public discussion of one particular post which most of you will not have seen. If anyone seeks a clarification of our position I am happy to explain further via PM. Please feel free to contact me.

Cindy - I agree that this forum is one of the more open minded - I have been "moderated" off another site for posting a joke 3 minutes early!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And on another one, people are always getting "moderated" - but then again it can be a very argumentative site. Keep up the good work. This is such a friendly site, as we all know, we all care for one another I find.

In other forums, exception was taken to the post. However the points were made to John in open forum. As this is considered to be a fairly relaxed and open forum it puzzles me why this was not done here. If those who missed the text they can find it on supertramp.com.au
