Thought I'd better start a new post as we had sort of got off the track from the original post of 'Waving' Milo we travelled in mid July last year here are some pictures of the road.

My basic vehicle is the same as yours Milo .. Fiat ducato .. and I love it too. A simple thing to remember when you decide to go off the black stuff is to know the road condition where you wish to travel and have ample time to travel it. You could most likely change your mind at any time and need to return to the hard stuff. Common sense applies .. If in doubt then don't attempt it .. or maybe travel with/behind another that has off-road capability in case you need it.
Milo .. remember its only front wheel drive and not even 2wd .. sand flows across roads that build up in places will quite easily pull you up .. and hold you there until you can get yourself out .. or someone else does ..
They are fine vehicles when used as they're design intended .. its only the drivers that usually put them in 'bad' places .. have fun and travel around. I've travelled a few thousand k's on dirt and enjoyed it .. but just remember, common sense applies ..
also .. unless your honda generator is at least a 2 KVA, it probably wont kick over a microwave or air-con .. so check what your genny capacity is ..
happy travels .. Jon

I know a lot of roads like that , & that's nomal for em , not only when the're wet
I know I don't have to tell too many people on this board , ASK somebody first .
Tell somebody - I live 60k from Coffs Harbour , if I feel like going home through
th forest road I ring Herself , if Herself is not home I ring th Bushfire Captain ,
tell em when I am going to be there - 60k = nearly 2hrs through forest . If I am
not home in 3 , send out th cavalry , small price to pay . Get lost - get bogged ,
stay with vehicle , look what happened to that truckie in WA not too long ago .
Myself , when I broke down in th desert . People KNEW where I was going & when
I would get there & Back , communication breakdown , not only that . 2 4X4 drove
straight past me , the 3rd one stopped . Around that time a Young Austrian couple
got bogged on Oodnadatta track , ha stayed with vehicle , she decided to walk for
help . He was rescued , she perished , BUT not only that , she went the wrong way .
The distance she had got , had she gone th other way , she may have made it .
Ok , this has been a bit long winded & you've heard it all before , SO have I - BUT
it saved me , it may save me again , cause I still go wandering about th bush on my
own - But it might save somebody , then I have done my job right .

Hi Milo ..
I initially transported the scooter in the back of the MH .. but once I chose to carry spare fuel and water, I decided to get a trailer made which now also carries the scooter.
Due to a computer crash recently, I'm going to have to take a few more pics to replace the ones I lost ..
Jon
small edit note: .. just thought I'd mention that I don't travel with the long antenna attached .. just when parked up for a while ..
