Well, we are home again after nine weeks on the road.
We free camped and van parked and friend parked and family parked......nothing like variety.
We went as far as Yorke Peninsular and thanks heaps to Debe and Elbe for their hospitality and playing tour guide. Sorry we can't be there for the September Karoke fest at the Pub.
We welcomed a new granson while we were away and caught up with a couple of the grandaughters who we so excited to see us that we didn't get a moments rest.....but that's what all the fun is isn't it.
Called in a Noarlunga to see Smokeydy and Mrs. S. Awsome meal and a great tour round their neck of the woods too.
Was great to see Christine (Cruising Granny) again and to finaly meet Mick The Mungrel and Sarg. Next trip over that way I hope we have more time to spend with you guys and I'll bring the Port OK.
We had a great trip and spent the last two weeks at Moruya Camp Ground - and survived the gale force winds as well.
Blue averaged 3 salmon a day and if anyone would like some smoked salmon or salmon fillets just let me know. They were all a decent size and averaged around 4kgs each.
Back home now for about 4 weeks and then hopefully we are off North this time to Doug's Place at Chinchilla.

Thanks for dropping by when we were in McLaren Vale Helena and Bill. Was really good to put names and faces together.
Helena does the most wonderful lace making and I am the proud recipient of a beautiful hand made book mark which I always use now and have had many comments on.
Thanks Helena.

You are certainly having a great time tripping around Ma, a couple of weeks to get organised is all you need then off again, you lucky people. Hopefully I will make Dougies place next winter after missing out this year, was so disappointed not to be able to go there.

G'day Ma (Elaine) it was nice meeting you and Bob at Moruya it really is a small world ,well after talking to Bob about using a smoker something he loves doing we went out and purchased one and smoked some fish yesterday and it was great . We will have a go at smoking some chicken tonight ,should have bought one sooner as they have a very unique and tasty flavour as we used Hickory for the saw dust, what does Bob re-commend to use for a good flavour in his smoker...Cheers ..BoB..

Blue says so far Hickory is the best he's tried so far. There are so many different flavours out there its just a matter of finding which one you like the best I suppose.
Keep us informed as to any flavours you try and we will do the same
It was good meeting with you two as well.
As you can see my Bob is referred to as Blue my fellow nomads on this site.
Oh by the way, welcome to the forum. Great people on here and a hive of information. Just ask a question and you will have to sort through all the answers. Have fun

I love smoked fish too, but it's a bit hard to roll them in all those papers. Once they're lit they're ok. Do you smokers salt the fish first? Welcome Bob. Do you have a relly in Broome? I knew someone with same surname up there, originally from Victoria. I hope you enjoy your stay. Tell us about your travels.

Blue marinates his fish in a mixture of salt, sugar, water and whatever flavouring he fancies at the time.
The last one was Honey Soy and he has done Port and a dash of sesame oil.
