I'm having a couple of rest up days at the Recreation area here, and it just so happens that the polo is on this weekend. I've never watched it before so should be interesting.
It's a very busy place with lots of caravans, horse floats etc coming in.
This place is a donation box job, and the showers are $1 for 3 minutes. Gotta love a bargain!
I've really enjoyed my adventure, but a little weary, so staying put for a couple of days.
I have so many bruises, it's not funny. I'm unco at the best of times, but 3 times the top has come down on my arm while I'm tucking things in. So I'll be looking at my finances when I get home to see if I can up-scale a bit. Maybe a Transit van or small motorhome, something with solid walls and an easy annex to roll out. I haven't put the annex on often, but have done today as it's cloudy and windy. I was quite chuffed that I managed it alone, but it wasn't easy.
Anyway, I'll stop whinging now. Slowly homeward bound and looking forward to seeing my loved ones.
Cheers!

Stay safe Beth... it seems we all get bruises and itchy bites when we travel, but sometimes it just gets a bit much!
And good luck with finding just the right replacement for your little Gypsy.

Hi Beth, good to get your updates, rest up for a few days and you will be ready to hit the road again in no time. We all get a few bruises, I did my right wrist pushing up or maybe pulling down the pop top but wish I was out there again. Will happily wear my wrist support just to be there.

Thanks for the quick replys guys and gals. One good thing, now that I'm in the cold weather again, I'm back in long sleeves and can hide the bruises. People kept remarking on them.
Lilly, I haven't even been any farther than the rec area yet. I'll go for a wander tomorrow.

H Beth, I broke all my fingernails and also got several bruises in the van when I went away. I think it comes with the territory.

Good to hear from you Beth - take care, and recover before you move on - enjoy the polo - and be careful while tucking in - see you when you get home.

Don't forget you're welcome to Over-nite at my place if you like on the way south ? It's about a 3 hour drive from St. Lawrence.
Cheers,
Sheba.

If you push yourself too hard the travel becomes an ordeal. It's best to spend a couple of days in each destination, then a few extra once a week or whenever you feel the need. Unless you're on a deadline, what's the point of busting your a.se to see the country. What's the rush? It seems as though your set up might not be the most suitable for you now. If you're looking to upgrade or change check out the ex-rental units. They're usually low mileage, not very old, fairly well maintained and a reasonable price. I'm not walkiing about Wicked Campers of course. Don't forget to relax and have fun.

Quite a bit of rain last night, so not sure if the polo is still on. Lots of mud around this morning.
Thanks for the well wishes folks.

I'm slowly learning that CG. And somone else told me you have to be organised. I guess that's to a degree. I really haven't been planning where my next stop will be, since leaving Malanda, and maybe I should have been.
Funny you should mention the Wicked Campers. Late yesterday one was eyeing up the small spot between me and the next rig, and I very cheekily said, 'no way!' It's pretty packed but that would have just been too close.
