Myrtle goes in tomorrow morning for her heart transplant. Sam rang this arvo. If I have trouble starting her in the morning he will send over one of his guys.
Not sure how long she will be in there for. Will keep you updated.

Thinking of you and Myrtle. Boy she's certainly achieved celebrity status in her brief time as your wheels. Give her a cuddle on the bonnet or a pat on the dash for me.

Thinking of you both Marj. Give her a kiss from me, and tell her she'll be fine. Heart Operations are a lot easier than they used to be. She'll feel like a new Wovan when she comes home.
Cheers,
Sheba.

I was thinking of going for a drive to Echuca. Sick of sitting around waiting for the work. Maybe after I've done my accreditation next week. Got a spare bed?

She's gone to the doctors. Sam came over to get her started. She still wouldn't. Started removing bits and checking. Distributor and little bits etc. He ended up going back to his garage for more tools and another bloke. Told me to go back inside out of the cold (the ground was white) and he would take care of it. Next time I looked out Myrtle was gone. He said could be about 2 weeks depending on couriers etc. Bill. I don't know about racing you back to Qld. I will have to be running her in for a few thousand ks. Wombat, Typical!! Myrtle gets a bigger kiss than me. Thanks everyone. Probably won't have any more news for a while now. Going to spend the day washing and cleaning seeing the sun has come out and its the first nice sunny day for a long while.

How can you bear to look at that empty space in the driveway.Poor Myrtle will be in a strange place, cold, with a great big hole in her cabin. Her new heart will be sittingon a work bench soaked in W.D.40,probably offering Myrtles old engine some words of condolence.Stay strong H.W,Myrtle needs your support at this time.My congregation here at The Home for The Hopeless will offer a special dedication to both you and Myrtle after late night supper and prayers to mick the Mechanic.Cheers.Father Ted.

Thank you Father Ted, You have given me a really good laugh, that is so good. I haven't been out past the carpark yet so haven't seen the empty space. About to get out in the garden so will close my eyes when I walk past there.

No-One wondered about Wombats kiss for Myrtle.
I would be a bit worried about the lippy, does he wear it all the time or is this a one off.

Hi Marj
I hope that all goes well with Myrtle's heart transplant. Be careful walking around the garden with your eyes closed you could do yourself an injury and that would not be good - but make the most of the blue sky and sunshine. I'm off to visit my parents as soon as I catch the cat - she has gone to hide under the bed and I cannot reach her there
Cheers

If he does he should learn to put it on a bit more evenly

Exciting times, motor down which means there only one or two hundred other things that can go wrong.
I hope they replace all belts and hoses & flush & check the radiator.
You are right Hq you will need to break myrtle in which will involve both oil and filter changes.
Exciting times and I Am excited for you

I remember when i was a kid, dad blew the engine in our v8 falcon xy, so we reconditioned it, went like a charm for the next 30 years.. i miss that car.. so with a full transplant Myrtle should be great, and maybe a bit more power and hopefully run better fuel wise too.. good luck..
