Does any body on the fourm ever have YouTube nights.
We have one occasionally, couple of drinks and play all the old songs. It's fun looking back on what things were like back when we were teenagers and how we dressed.
One good thing about back then is that you could always understand the lyrics.
Just watched Normie Rowe singing Shakin all over.........current version...........he may have lost all his hair but he's STILL GOT IT.

The only time I go into YouTube is if someone suggests a particularly interesting topic, with a link to it. Otherwise I wouldn't know how to use it. Where do you start??

Just like google or yahoo. just go to the web site, type in what you're after and up comes many videos.

Quite a few years ago for no real reason i bought a restored His masters Voice gramophone. Then i bought another just for stereo sake and to keep the first one company. I am now the proud owner of over 3000 78 records, many of them rock and roll include the likes of Elvis, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee lewis, Bill Haley and lots of others. When my kids come around and i play a few one cant help but jive with the beat while the other rolls her eyes and runs away.
Recently i asked a young guest if she would like to listen to a rock and roll record. Her reply was a stunning one "whats a record?" Whose getting old then hey?
I fully intend taking my fav top 200 with me when i do finally hit the road along with a potable wind up player i have. Sort of Elvis in the outback tour !

We have just finished our stint on YouTube for tonight and what fun we had, Garry Puckett and The Uinion Gap, Tony Bennett, The Ink Spots, The Mills Brothers, Gerry and the Pacemakers, the list goes on and on.
Marj, if you like the music from when we were kids just put YouTube in the search bar and when it comes up type in any artist or song that you can think of and you will find it somewhere.
It is rather addictive so if you are on limited downloads you better be careful.
Hope you have fun, we certainly do.
