Was great to meet up with a couple of our grey nomads today. Sucastja and Loffty were passing through on their way north. Ken Thomas and Lyn, and I met up with them for coffee and spent a great time getting to know each other.
I haven't met many grey nomads yet but know I am going to enjoy meeting you all as time goes by.
Enjoy your trip north guys, I know you will enjoy Bundaberg as much as I have in the past. Will be going there next winter for sure.

That's great Marj!
Always nice to put a face to the name isn't it!
I'm looking forward to doing that too... as soon as this shoulder problem goes away!!!!

I'm sure we all meet many grey nomads on our travels, but they might not be members of this forum. It is always great to put a face to a name, and to sit and compare travel notes. I love it. It's meeting "friends" even if we've never met face to face before.

I met several on my trip too. Two from this site,,Jonathon and Honi,,and plenty more along the way.
At least one person would always stop, introduce themselves, and have a natter.
One bloke was a bit cheeky about my little rig looking like a wheelbarrow!
I knew he was watching as I opened it out, so I did a little dance with a 'ta daa!' He laughed so much I thought he'd fall off his chair.
When I decided to put the awning on, he came over and insisted on helping me, although I told him it wasn't necessary.
Everywhere I went, people were nice and friendly.

I will definitely be putting my stickers on before I leave on Friday and hope to meet up with some GNs while I am away. Then again the sheer size of the diminutive Esmeralda seemed to attract attention while I was in Canberra.
