Peter,
I think it has been removed as it is the GN Editors choice not to publish it here on GN as there is a conflict of interest GN having it's own news section on the Main GN page.
Each forum owner has the right to choose what they do or do not allow on their sites from other sources.
I am not defending or bagging this right, just saying why I think this has happened.

Hi guys, No mystery here. We deleted the link to the newsletter. As some of you may remember we have had a lot of trouble in the past with people joining the forum with the sole purpose of posting links to other websites/forums/products etc. This forum is a place where grey nomads and wannabe grey nomads can discuss a wide range of issues … and we want to retain its integrity as just that. We made it a policy some time ago that we would not allow links to other places if the only point of the post was to promote another service/product/ website or whatever. We have been very clear about this and have always informed people who try to put up such links that we do not welcome this sort of post. Unfortunately, our wishes are not always respected. I understand that some people may disagree with this policy but we have had issues in the past and have decided that this is the best way to proceed … and to keep the forum fun and friendly. Thanks for your support.

A good and valid point !!!
You can please some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people some of the time, but NEVER all of the people all of the time.
Stick with your rules as I think they are appreciated by the majority. For those that read the caravanning news, it wouldn't be too hard to log onto it now and then without people telling you there is a new edition out.
Enjoy and safe travels

I agree with your policy Cindy - this is a really friendly forum, and as you know we all consider each other friends - if I want to find another type of forum (I do belong to a couple of others) I will find them myself - but this is my favourite.

Ummmmm.......that is not a forum, it is a free E Newsletter that some other forums and clubs allow to be posted to their sites........and a couple don't.....

I commend our webmaster's efforts to keep this forum "on track" on this and other matters that appear from time to time. Any other sites can easily be "bookmarked" or "added to favourites" by those interested.
