On Thursday, God willing and weather permitting (as my m-in-law used to say), I become the proud owner of a grey 2009 Holden Colorado dual-cab auto transmission diesel ute.
Needs a couple of bits (canopy, bullbar, roofrack), which will come in the fullness of time, but otherwise it's a beauty. Excitement reigns at the end of what has been a long and sometimes frustrating search for a tow vehicle to help turn my GN dreams into reality. Suitable camper trailer to follow.
Early trips out of Perth will probably involve the Goldfields area before it gets too hot, and then the south coast of WA, eventually moving north and across to the east coast next year as weather improves.

Sounds great Tonyd, Im sure you will be happy with the tug. We have a super cab Ranger 3lt diesel and love it, tows our 24ft home beautifully. Sounds as though you might be trying to get lucky early in the gold fields. Good luck, have fun, stay safe. See you out there doing it

Tontd We have recently travelled across the top of your state, went into Karijini ( how amazing), Newman to Northam, found it so great. Cue was a gem. People so friendly. The little council van park in Cue was full of gold prospectors but they were so welcoming, would have liked to stay longer. Just a suggestion. Favouites in SW WA - Cheynes Beach, Kalgin River, Esperance, Cape Arid.
We absolutely love WA, what a fantastic state, you are so spoilt over here, so enjoy travelling your home ground with your new tug Cheers Glenda

I agree Glenda. I'm a born SA but WA is my favourite state, Perth is my fave city and everywhere is my fave region. So much to see, so little time. It's a big state with a lot going for it. From the beaches down south to the north, from the desert in the east to the coast in the west, I love it and miss it. I've just about talked myself into heading back that way. Might start job hunting over there. What a good idea!
