Like you Wombat, when I saw the heading I thought OMG what have we done?
Having just left the mad mans residence.
Good luck with the op.
Reminds me of a story.
Paddy was coming back from rehab, having lost his ears in an industrial accident. The boss call the staff together and gave them a lecture, saying "Now Paddy is a little self concious of having no ears, so be careful and don't mention them."
When Paddy walked in the mess room, one of his fellow workers thought they would make him feel welcome and said, "Hi Paddy, I see you have had the eye operation and no longer wear glasses."
Watch out for your ears, Wombat!

Jeez, I share this forum with some bright sparks, and smart arses. If you hadn't draw out attention to the heading I would have had no idea of the pending surgery. I wish you all the best with the op, and we'll be seeing you back here again reall soon. I had cataract surgery on both eyes a few years ago. Op in the morning, home in the arvo. Op in Adelaide, home in Pt. Lincoln. It meant a flight, and special antibiotic eye drops, but all was well and still is. We don't realise how much we value our vision until it's threatened. Take care mate.

fanks guys for all the support, it's only a 20 min op but then have to return to surgeon's rooms for the next month until all is healed.
He get's rid of the cateracts the slices the eye open and removes the lens with compressed air and puts a new lens in, can't knock the eye for a few days and have to use two lots of eye drops for the next 3 weeks, then it will all be over and I can get back to normal, well is that a good thing or not
Catch you all tomorrow
