Well after 6-8 months of looking i have finally bought the new van, It was a very confusing time, and i feel a great sense of relief, that i do not have to look at any more bl--dy vans, the weekends are mine again 'whoopee'
The van i decided on is a 18'6'' Lotus Sprint with full rear ensuite, and all the other goodies that come with that model, got a good discount off the advertised price, and traded in my Avan Erin poptop, for not much less than what i paid in 2004, so was very happy with that, Done a test tow today, with my new Colarado dual/fuel and was pleased with the outcome, handled it pretty well, Sorry cannot post pictures yet, as i don't pick it up until next Wednesday, but if anyone does not know what the Lotus Sprint looks like you can Google ' Gateway Caravans Geelong' as they have it featured on their website,, Cannot wait to get it, pack it, and do a test run, Rgs dazren

Welcome 2Weis. I hope you enjoy your stay and your travels. Nice to see you here. I looked for 18months before I found Roma, with the exact layout I wanted. It can happen. Look forward to hearing more from you.

Gidday and Welcome, 2weis, yeah i have been looking to update for about 8 months seen a lot of vans but kept going back to the Lotus, , when i took it for a test drive i went around to the public weighbridge to get the real empty tare, the plate said 1900 kgs, but it was actually 1980 kgs, keep this in mind as it effects your ATM, I pick mine up next wednesday, and will probaly go [ not far ] the following weekend for a trial run, and then i will get away to the Murray, either Cobram or Barmah for a little bushcamp for 5 or six days over the Melb Cup weekend, will post when i get back dazren
PS are you aware there is a LOTUS OWNERS FORUM ?? just Google it and have a look it looks like a great site for Lotus owners
